Procedures when there are issues during the game
If there is an issue on the court (umpire issues, bad behavior on court or bad spectator behavior), please come to the window (at Lyneham) or pavilion (at Charnwood) DURING the game. Unfortunately, if it is reported after the game, it is harder for the NCNC officials to make an objective analysis of the situation. They are very happy to go to the court to observe. For all coaches, managers and umpires, you can send another parent or spectator to the window if they are not able to leave the court.
Only the captain of the team should approach an umpire with any questions or queries on behalf of the team, and only they should speak to the umpires ther. If you feel uncomfortable doing this, then send someone to the window/pavilion. Coaches, managers and spectators should not be questioning an umpire during the match. Please remember that umpires are learning too and we want to encourage them to continue.
Please remember that all injuries should be reported to the pavilion and a record of this taken. If the injury requires medical treatment and an insurance claim is made, the officials in the pavilion have a record of the injury.
